She has her mommy's nose...

Monday was our target ultrasound for Hadley. We got to see her beautiful, smiling face- yes, smiling. She is absolutely gorgeous. She weighs 1.5lbs and has a strong heart and good spine. She was very wiggly- not a surprise- and she was trying to hide her face. After a few nudges from the tech and myself, we were able to see her face. We got to see her yawn and grin. She likes her tongue! We also got to see her little hands and feet. So tiny and sweet. So adorable. She has her mommy's nose and her daddy's mouth! Only 4 more months!

So far we have put up her crib and bedding and decided the bedroom colors. We still need to get the changing table, paint the room, register for my showers, sign up for birthing classes, buy a car that will fit a car seat, buy a car seat, and high chair. What a list. Good thing we have such amazing families that are helping us!
My tummy isn't growing as fast as people seem to think it should. She is just over 10 ounces and very healthy. She wiggles all the time. Our target ultrasound is on the 12th of October. More updates on her then.

I hope Becky thinks that my copying her is flattering...

I was reading my cousin Becky's blog and I was laughing really hard! I need to share some of what I read. Thanks Becky

* Why is it that I always find what I was looking for the day after I need it?

*Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

*Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

*Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what was going on when I first saw it.

*How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

*I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

*How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

*How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

*Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.

*"Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this, ever.

*I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Dang it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?*I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

*I hate it when I have put in several hours of creative thinking time and my project turns out wonderful-just like I wanted it, then I see yours and mine looks like trash.
